Advice on home theater

Common now i expected more out of you, most powerfull ram you should be running at least a 80 inch or go with the new 180 inch they have out... tsk tsk ,, and those speakers should well be 4x the size lol... ohhhh the dissapointment....

My recommendation would never be Bose if you have no space, sure Bose. If you want awesome sound go german made KEF. Awesome sound. They have a uniques sub which is awesome and crystal clear highs. They ain't cheap but what is?

Umm, KEF is bri-ish made(short for Kent Engineering & Foundry). founded by a BBC engineer Mr. Cooke.

Ram from Hell, ULD 18 is sweet. I've been toying around with the thought of the DD-18, the electronics are sick in that thing. a HGS-18 series II would probably suffice. a nice one I still would like the 1812, THAT THING IS STILL SICK!!

You know I was wondering if anyone was gonna catch my screw up. I meant to right anything German or KEF. Oh well. Thought no one would catch it. Guess I was wrong! LOL. Thanks for keeping me honest!

Never buy Bose unless you want to pay at least twice what you should for the sound quality.

Denon makes decent receivers although I have always been a Marantz fan ;)

I am running 5.1:

Marantz SR9600
NHT 2.1 towers (15 years old and still rockin!)
NHT twin 10" subs
NHT center and using the same center for both rears.

Marantz VP-12S3 -awesome...definitley worth the price
Stewart 102" Firehawk screen

The picture is better than my 42" Sony LCD.

Check out the NHT's, B&W, Martin Logan performance at half the price.

Two of my neighbors have Bose systems. I think they sound very thin and weak. Sound is just not "thick" enough for my taste.

I have an Integra amp/reciever with some 20 year old large akai speakers. Also got a sub I got from Costco. Yup costco. It aint fancy but the house shakes and the neighbors know when I'm cranking the surround sound.

IMO the complete surround systems they sell in a box sound like crap. I prefer my piecemealed system over those. Now if you want to spend huge money, then go super high end.
