I have the K and N kit and I really dig the sucking sound it makes. Does the drop in kind give that same sound or not? I am thinking no since its in that big plastic housing. If I were to do it again though, I would go the drop in route.

I put an Airraid drop in in mine for 200 miles before I took it apart and it seemed to work very well, good fit and quality.

you might want to think about the magnaflow. just a suggestion.

why i hear that the magnaflow isn't as loud as the flowmasters

they have a distinct sound if you ask me. everyone that i personally know have magnaflow and are extremely pleased.

I have magnaflows on one truck and Flow Masters on the other. The Flow Masters are louder and meaner. The Magnaflows are more refined, quiet at low RPM but roar at WOT. It is all your taste at this point. Both are great sounding.
