Allmost bought a 2008 Viper last night...

I've also been leaning toward picking up a Viper but a used 2001 or newer. I'm looking right now but if I can trade my truck in on one and not get raped on the trade, I can swing around $50K. For know, I'm scared to look any harder cause I tend to be compulsive, this is why I currently have three cars!! I just love Vipers!!

Im 6'4", and 210, and I have to go one leg first, then head, sit down, and then pull the other leg in... once I am in... its OK... snug fit...

I guess if a guy like you just taps the brakes in a non-ABS car the brakes lock up??? LOL! (I'm assuming you are looking at 2001 and newer for the ABS brakes)

I'm 6'2" 190 lbs and have the seat all the way back in my 99 GTS.

I fit in my buddies 87 vette, barely! I gotta just wiggle in!! Wont be good for long trips but gotta have one!!

They make seat lowering kits for Vipers for you big fellas.
He's is correct, once you put it in the seat is not adjustable(it just gets rid of the tracks that the seat slides on). We put that kit in the 05' vert and I can fit no problem...

Man there is no way you are fitting in one!!!

You are going to be hanging over the center console and half way in the passenger seat!!!

Get a GenIII or a 06-08 Z06

Don't say that!! I've wanted a Viper since I first laid eyes on them in 93-94. Remember the show on TV called Viper where the guy drove a viper that was kinda like Kit from Knight Rider! I figured my buddies 87 Vette was smaller then the Viper. I have to carefully climb in his vette as the framerail comes most the way up the side of the seat. The new ones are a little more roomy. I figure I should be able to fit in a Viper but it might be a bit tight. Worst case scenario, I get the seat lowering kit. I'm not to tall at 6'1", just a bit wide at 310 lbs!! I'll be sure to post my experience with test driving one if I find one that worth me parting ways with my truck for.

bout the same size as an 87 vette...your just going to be leaning over the console. Keep this in mind, GenII the pedals are off set alot. and I am assuming your quads are enormous, hop in one. Just find a VCA guy in the area and ask if you can sit in the beast...considering how wide you are, its going to be uncomfortable, but a mashing of the gas pedal will brush those worries aside:D

I agree, you will fit height wise no problem, but every other dimension will be uncomfortable in a Gen I or II Viper.

So, who is gonna buy a Viper first???? :D

I sat in Dennis' 01 GTS and fit just fine. I'm 5'11.... and a fat-ass. :D (235lbs). Dennis is a little shorter than me, and I didn't have to move the seat back (my knees weren't touching the dash). The seats fit me perfect, so I'm guessing Derek will have to roll both windows down for his shoulders to fit. :p  Or just get a RT. :dontknow:
