I watch the initial auditions sometimes... The audacity of some of these contestants can really be atsounding.... People who have every ounce of confidence neccesary... and all of it misguided.... We're talking about kids with absolutely incendiary intent who couldn't carry a 3 note tune if their very lives depended on it....

Yes, I'm sure some of it is pure shillism.......

Simon's cruelty is sometimes overly harsh, but mostly he's just trying to snap these dumb kids out of their unreachable and unrealistic pipedreams... Some of them can be downright stupid about what chops they bring to the competition... and unable to admit that they just aren't ready for it...

The auditions are amusing at times! The wife says I should be on there, they would surely put me on tv, the way I sing!

Well I hate to burst your bubble but I have never been able to watch it for longer than maybe 2 minutes at a time when flipping stations, I just can't stand that show. Even my wife hates it, you need to add another category to your poll

I used to be anti-idol, it kind of grew on me over time because the ball@chain insisted on watching it....thats the only one I watch though...I absolutely hate that damn dancing with the stars, I rebel against that shit She always says " it's almost over" ..That stupid show goes on forever I swear..Gotta take one for the team every now and again though

I'm with a few others. I love it at first during the auditions and as the show goes on I lose interest. I prefer to watch people make fools of themselves rather than watching the ones that can actually sing. Is that wrong? Hehe

I watch and record to fast forward through the commercials.
I have enjoyed every season, also a fan of Life, Ghost Hunters, Lost, and anything on natgeo, discovery, history, tlc.

Venom 1 was reading my mind. Same thing, hated idol till my current gf insisited we watch it. Now I laugh and critique the tv. Some of the chicks are hot though! Way too many homos is this years lineup!! WTF man? LOL

Cannot and will not watch the dancing show.......horrible!!
