Been hearing a rattle and I hate rattles. Climb under the truck to check and see if I still have a tranny under there....yup still there. Rear main seal leak still going too....SOS..... Give the exhaust pipes a kick and rattle rattle.... Head around to the rear and walla, the hanger right behind the chrome tips has completly broken off the pipes. Two welds have failed. I then notice the other hanger before the axle has slipped to where its barely holding the pipes on it. If it would have slipped off it I believe my pipes would have been dragging on the ground.

Well I wired up the broken pieces to stop the rattle, slipped the other hanger on properly and now need to head to the exhaust shop to get it fixed. This system has only 13k miles on it. Thats seriously lame that two welds would break like that.

I had the exact same thing happen.

Now i have two holes in the exhaust letting hot gases shoot up into my plastic bumper area.

Still debating what to do.

If you actually get ahold of someone at Magnaflow drop me a note to what they say.

That freaking sucks man, I think it's time for you to just change everything out and go with headers and catless mids while your working on your exhaust:D

Hehe, hopefully someone can do a good weld job for ya that won't make the originally welded area weaker.

You planning on hitting up the track this season Patrick?

You have to send the cat back back to the dealer you purchased it from sir and they can send it to us for warranty inspection. Thank You for buying a Magniflow..........................Click :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh:

Ditto...Had my hangers welded and fixed like 3 times on my last Ram, they just rust up and the weld fails, sux to drive down the road and sound like your dragging beer cans behind your rig...Magnaflow mufflers sound good, but don't hold up under heavy use, atleast mine didn't.:dontknow:

I recently noticed a crack in my Magnaflow muffler where the hanger is welded. Had the muffler shop patch it...I have about 18000 miles since installing...havent had any rattles...yet...........my brother has Magnaflows on his Charger...80,000 miles no problems and sound like they did the day he installed them..

I went through two Magnaflow cat-backs on my 06. X-Metal Boomer sold me both and said that Magnaflow would warranty me some cash back - so I just bought a new one to put on so I wouldn't have to wait with no truck to drive. Needless to say, I never received any cash and could not ever get Boomer on the phone again:argh: . At least he sold two exhausts to the same guy - bonus! :deal: :bandit: :help:

I wonder if this would be a great time to mention that....

I HATE MAGNAFLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Soon you too will be schooled in the ways of the busted Magnablows.. Like Patrick said all the way from Maui.. This is gonna be a popular thread. I have been hearing a slight hollowed-like rattle for a long while and I am going to bet Roz's left egg that it's coming from my M-Flo.. No matter cause they're gonna be HIS-story soon.

This begs the question and in no offence, why do members still continue to buy them if this is a known issue?? Unless the majority are "just" finding out now. :( Sad either way. Be good if Magnaflow backed their work. Maybe time to grab some Billy Boats. :D

Anyone know if X-Metal is still doing business here????

Thats who i bought my exhaust from. No way am i sending it back till i get a return call or some answers first.

I wonder if I can just fab some 3 inc tubing with my own tips and hangers???

Its only for the last foot or so.

Sounds like Hennessy and Xmetal are merging soon.

I haven't had any problems with mine either. However, I am going to inspect them tonight when I get home.
