Looks like an H-D edition F-150 based on the exhaust, badging and wheels. They're sportin' a S/C 5.4 so they're not exactly a slouch...at least as compared to a stock F-150. I have an ARE tonneau cover and the wing on that isn't nearly as outrageous as that one, but I think the Dodge one's are nicer...especially on a SC, kinda looks outta place on a QC me thinks...

It's not an HD edition, he's a poser the HD's were all quad cabs. It's just a plain old F-150 with HD badges and wheels. He also forgot to put the HD badge on his tail gate.

That truck is a 2000 F150 Harley it did not come with a factory SC.
I believe that the Lightning is faster stock even with the factory SC Harley's as they were a crew cab and weigh more.

The other photo is a 1999 or 2000 Lightning and did not come with the tonneau or wing stock. The 1999/2000 also had 360hp over the newer ones that had 380hp...

I used to love them before the 10's came out. Once I drove a 10 I was converted :rock: :rock:

It's a real lightning. I saddens me to see something like that. You take a nice L, get a ugly ass tall hard cover and get it color match, then throw a ricer wing on there. Why....i dont know.

There's a lot worse. fine, people admire L's and srt10s, but dont put fake badges etc. Buy the real thing or leave the stock badges on

As stated stock for stock, L's are quicker in the 1/4 than S/C'ed HD's(2002/2003) mostly due to weight. It's kinda like your guys RC and the QC. Those HD's have a different pulley producing 2lbs less of boost if i am not mistaken. And it is tuned different for it(no brainer). HD's are 14 sec trucks stock, L's are 13's. HD's can do 13's easy with a few mods but they have crappy rods just like L's. The only difference b/w the hp differences in early and later year model lightnings is the tune from the factory.

yes... h-d were extended cab not sure if in a 99 or 00 model but they were in ex.cab too. no s/c on those models thoug.
and btw... i like the lightning w/ the tuneau cover but not the wing.

The second one had me fooled until I read the description...I was wondering why that tiny exhaust pipe was hanging down like that...super crappy interior and a handshaker...he went to extraordinary lengths to pose, and calling it a "Lightning" package was just too cheesy if not deceiving.

So the only S/C'd H-Ds were '02/'03?

Yeah. The newer ones have that option but they arent anything to worry about. It's just like the Saleen and Roush trucks. Sure it has more power than the stock L's but due to the weight, it's slower. Dont get me wrong, id love to have one. They are very nice trucks. But for $60k+.....no way.

And that black one is overseas. It's on a dvd i have of the 4th European SVT meet 2008. I agree, it looks bad.

this is precisely while my RC ran and my NRQC run without wings... cuz it makes it look like a poser-mobile....

anyone ever notice that the tank ran the 10.7 without the wing... and ran 10.9's with the wing.... true story... I've got about 20 timeslips to prove it too

if I didn't have to deal with a buncha holes... I'd have removed the wing from the tank as well... atleast I got rid of all the viper... supercharged badges
