I dream about making my own exhaust system. Today i bumped into someone who's into the same thing. He uses pipemax software to for his basic design.
Before i buy this soft i like to find out if someone has experience with it. All reactions to the subject (that is to avoid the funny ones) ... (on the other hand, what the heck) are welcome.

In the mean time i've bought the software.
Now i'm in need of a lot of stock technical data which i don't have. :(
This is what i have to find somewhere:
Piston rod length c-c
For intake and exhaust:
valve stem diameter
valve head diameter
camshaft valve lift
duration @ .050
degreed centerline (intake)
lobe center angle
port centerline length (exhaust)

Who can help me ?

I stole this pic from somebody on another thread. It has some info but not all of it. I hope this points you in the right direction. :D

Nice ! thanks !
That narrows it down to:

Piston rod length c-c
For intake and exhaust:
valve stem diameter

duration @ .050 (not sure if the given value is @.050)
degreed centerline (intake)
lobe center angle
port centerline length (exhaust)

So, are you wanting to design headers?

Not to start with.
First i would like to design the catback system in a way that i like.
No drone, not to much noise either ( this may sound silly to a lot of people, but it is my company truck which i take to customers.) nad with the right backpressure.
Then i might take on the header part. Not sure there.
For the moment i'm running belanger headers and Hiflow cat's and that's ok.
It's the stock cat back i want and need to change.
Pipemax calculates both that why i started there.

Go for the BillyBoat , $1300 at Tony's shop...:rock::drool::rock:

And then we race at Zanvoort track in april...:D

I'd like to go for a Marco high flow catback (mahifca exhaust) and beat the crap out of your rig if time let's me... :D :D:D

i just gathered all the necessary information and let the software do some calculations.
At first impression there is a lot gain to get from the exhaust system.
For the catback:
The soft shows exhaust diameters between 3.250 and 3.5" to be the best and
total length from primary pipes 89.1 or 178.1 inches long.
178.1 being with mufflers and tailpipes; 89.1 being with only mufflers.
for the headers i need to dig into the figures first. A lot to read
