ANy of you guys in or around the Camp Lejeune area? Just curious, I think I saw a white one on base here and I know of a silver QC out in town on 22's.

Greetings Leatherneck. I left the Jville area in 92 after retiring from MCAS New River. Hope to return sometime for a visit.

AHHHH!!! DAMN!! Yea, like I said I have only seen like two SRT-10s around here. I haven't gotten to run them in my truck yet. I was with my buddy when he ran the one on 22 inch rims from a roll, first roll went to the SRT 10(my buddy didn't gas it in time to get the downshift) by about 1 length second was to the L by 1 1\2. I don't recall all the details, but I think they started at about 45-55 mph and having 22's really don't help either.
Anyhow, yea I am a Jarhead, with long hair...and soooooo far at the other end of the spectrum of Oorah and all the other moto shit. Being a Marine is great, but there are times that I need to get away from all the moto stuff. I like to keep a low profile, comes in handy in my line of work.;)

low regs brother...believe me, I was the same way. SWINGIN WITH THE WING! If you listen to one thing a former sgt in the marines ever said listen to this....Stay in for 20!!! Just gut-it-out man. I wish I would have. i did 4, and been out about 2 years now. The life is EZ in the corps. Plus the retirement is sweet...you could be 39 or so, and have a guarentees retirement check!!

if your down at the beach in the next 2 weeks let me know bro

Cool, I won't be down there anytime soon. There is way too much shit going on at work and I am a one man show at the office. I have been in 7 years and got selected to SSgt at 6 years, is that fast for promotion...yea, but I have MOS credibility unlike many marines who get promoted outside their MOS on recruiting, MSG, or DI billets. I made a lat move at my 3rd year in and plan on staying because business is good right now. So there is never any complaining out of me about the Corps.

Damn, a 6 year Staff. That's cool. I often wish I would have stuck it out too, I would have been retired and collecting for 6 years now, or would only have 4 left to make that 30. Either way it would be nice. I was an 03 though, and just plain had enough at the time.

lol Yea six years... it pisses a lot of older guys off....Thats ok though because in about 12 - 18 months I'll either be in zone or a Gunnery Sgt HAHAHAH!!!

The white one you've seen on base is probably me, both of my brothers are stationed at New River and I've been down to see them in my truck a few times. I was just in Jacksonville today on my back down to SC.

Umm no actually, the white on has blue racing stripes on it. Never seen an all white one here.

Well there is a all black QC in the area, in Jacksonville, sometimes at 2nd Tank Battalion. It is mine, my father is driving it occasionally. At least till Dec when I come back from Iraq to pick it up.

well maybe you'll get lucky and see me around sometime.

Sgt Bo, I'll be here when you get back. We'll have to get together sometime.

10Boom, still looking lol. I haven't actually had much time to look though. I do usually see a red srt-10 Viper at the Amoco/McDonald's on 24&Western. That guy is there like every Thurs or Friday night. Just hangs out there with his car. I occassionally see a few other people talking with him, but I never have time to stop.

I've seen that guy as well, he passed me as I was going out to Mike's Farm one evening and he nearly broke his neck while trying to get a look.
