what is TSB!! ive noticed that mine could be a problem! i didnt buy my truck from a dealer-ship! so what are your thoughts on that! OH yeah i! i stoped buy the other day to bitch about a screw that was missing! the first time they said sorry we dont have it! guess its not a warranty!!! and the belt skeaks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! started at 13k now at 14 im pissed! and i made the mistake of asking if the belt was a warr. part! the reply was "how many miles do you have on it!" i said 14.2k and he says we only cover belts for 12k! that i consider is my mistake! im thinking my next vehicle will be a zo6 not a viper! i dont make enough money to be selective on dealerships! and there is only one dodge near me! and thats not the first "BAD" experiance ive had with them! i love my truck! My warranty is up dec. and they want to sell me an extended, for a ton of money!! "viper" what are your thoughts! i dont have the money to mod! and i am happy with what the truck can do! hey! I should write a book! wait i just did!:D

belts are not 12/12 they are 3/36. and if you have a squek chances are its the idler pulley and the belt. both would be covered for 3/36.

ask them to do this when you go in---- " run this labor operation for me please and tell me if its covered 07201411"

I think Bill was talking about the seat belts.
(correct me if I'm wrong)

Either way, they're both 3/36.

Thanks to all for your info.! I checked my seals and, sure enough, drivers side is ripped!. Called the dealer, I still have to make the trip, but, no appointment necessary. They just want to take pictures to send to Dodge. Nearest I can figure, it looks like the edge of the door actually digs in and "plucks" the gasket. Maybe this should be in the guitar thread:dontknow: Thanks again, this is the second TSB I would have missed completely. By the way, is this only for the SRT 10's or is it all Dodge trucks?

All the TSBs are found by the link at the top of the page. I dont think pictures are needed on a known TSB? I heard the guy askthe service person when I took mine in. He was going to take pictures and was told that he didnt need to.

Well, If the gal at my dealership couldn't make requests like," Bring your truck in to take pictures", she wouldn't have a job.:)

THAT SO WERID, I WAS WAHIN THE TRUCK YESTERDAY AND SAW THE SAME THING. WONDER IF THEY WILL FIX IT FOR FREE IF ITS NOT UNDER WARRANTY.....

I went Friday to the dealership and one of the techs looked at it and ordered both sides and said they ARE covered under warranty. Make sure you have both sides ordered because even if only one side is bad, it's a matter of time before the other will be damaged as well.

anyone can supply me the PN's for the parts needs to be replaced for both sides? I have the same problem but it is not covered under warranty cause the truck outside of US. So I need to buy those parts myself. anyone can give me PN's and pricing? Please PM me

I went by the dealership today and they replaced both sides for me. Warranty took care of it all.

Well, since this thread is still alive, I went to the dealer today.:) Waited twenty minutes,:( dude came out.:) Showed him the problem,:( I don't think I exchanged ten words. Wrote up the warranty claim. Has to order the parts. Oh, and by the way, NO F'ING PICTURES necessary! What a waste of time!:( I was doing a slow burn all the way to the office.:( Still, they are paying:) (better than me!):) I owe it to VTCoA!.:star: By the way, for the brief time the truck was there five people checked it out and one took a cell phone pic. Go figure.

IT'S ALIIIIIVE.... IT'S ALIIIIIIVE...

So the service writer wasn't too talkative huh? Mine was cool since I just got my Centerforce clutch installed there. The Viper techs now know me on a first name basis. The tech today seemed overly excited to change he seals himself. And I am also giving props to VTCoA on this matter. Because of Wifey I was able to go in there armed with the TSB number and part numbers. The service writer didn't even have to look that information up.

Well, I'm keeping my powder dry just in case. If you can keep a secret, the only problem with Wifey, according to Sickness, is, she don't put out on the first date.! :)
