I've owned a couple of 02-06 dodge rams and everyone one of them did it.

My dealer wouldnt just put it in the shop real quick and say yes ok its bad lets replace it. I would have had to wait a couple of hours.
I just bought the damn pieces and I'll do it myself.
$25 in parts to fix it.

Well here's the rest of the story. Got the call the very next day that the parts were in stock. Service manager said, "come on down". Both sides done. Spent about 1/2 hour start to finish. Tipped the mechanic. Everybody happy! Another warranty item, courtesy of VTCoA. Thanks again to all.:rock:

I noticed those defective strips on mine when buying it (1536 miles), then I spotted a Dealer in Conyers,GA, stopped by, the sales guy didn't know about it, but the service manager told me to leave the truck for repair. We went to a tour in the endless car parking, then back in waiting room, I didnàt even had the time to check my email on PDA the truck come back repaired! What a luck!

Town & Country Dodge in Conyers did a great job, by the way they used to drive mopars over there since Dukes of Hazzard haha

Both sides of my truck are also being replaced for free under warranty. They are also replacing the NSS and the pinion bearing and gear as well under warranty. All I'm paying for is a transmission service.:rock: :rock:

I didn't notice anything else except those doors issue. Once here I won't be able to have warranty services.

The pinion issue is not a recall.

:dontknow: I just noticed this today. Looks like Chrysler didn't think this part through. The driver side door has been tearing into this and I didn't even know. What's worse is the passenger side is showing subtle signs of the same problem. Does anyone know if this is a warranteed item?

I just went and looked and i never realized or even saw it- granted i have not had the truck very long-thanks for this post!!
