anybody running 18s

Okay Mickey, put down the Corona and answer me this.. 17's with 390R40 slicks teamed up with 4.56 rear end ratio.. Talk to me! Would that make a significant difference? Because I'm thinking it would mimic 4.88's or better IMO. But I'm not expert on this subject.

Since I am "loads of information".. ....

17s with a 4.56 = 4.87
17s with a 4.10 = 4.38
18s with a 4.56 = 5.13
18s with a 4.10 = 4.61

if you really want to go fast with the 4.10's you could use a 26x11.5x17 Mickey Thompson ET Drag tire....that's equal to 4.98's. I ran a 12.34 with them and whats in my sig

nope, 4th gear at 6000rpm is 113mph. My truck only trapped 110-111mph

I lent a set of 390s to to a former member(que locura)awhile back(06 q/c)stock,And the 390s dropped his e.t. aprox.4 tenths(I do not remember the exact et)But the drop was impressive.However on my truck(with the paxton)the shorter tire made it impossible to get a handle on shifting and traction.
