I've done it twice... :stupid: :dontknow:

anyone else ever have a problem? is there a way to fix it? Seems like 4th isn't straight down you have to pull it to the right a bit... it seems like it just wants to go into second. Anyway to adjust?

Also, this is a rebuilt transmission. When shifting into second when the trucks been sitting overnight the first time it's a really stiff shift, and have to wait a little bit before it will let me in second. Also can hear a bit of whining through the gear box... i forget what it sounded like before it was rebuilt maybe im just being paranoid? And when the truck is off should i beable to run through each gear smoothly with out pressing the clutch? It's tough to engage the gears without the clutch in... thanks guys!

Anyone with a manual floor shifter has done this..... Whether they admit it or not.

I had it happen to me twice after I installed a B & M shifter. I put the stock shifter back in and have never done it since. I liked the close pattern of the B & M but it wasn't worth loosing a transmission.

My cousin did it in my cobra 3rd to 2nd car went sideways because he dumped the clutch.

We had it 2 or 3 times... but we were quick on the respone.;)
But that happend when we wanted to go from 6th to 4th... and we got 2nd :p
It's more often that u can't get it right from 2nd to 3th...:(
We got a B&M shifter to.

Ive gone from 2nd to 5th a few times... Mostly when I was searching for 3rd.

That is probably what did my OEM clutch in by 9K miles.. ..700+ LBs of torque at the crank would smoke the clutch when I hit 5th WOT instead of 3rd.......thought I blew the engine the first time it happened..smoke poured out the back...

Sounds like a date I had, In fourth gear and accidentally slamed into #2, Man she was screamin! =-P

Glad i bought an X metal gen x:rock:  it finds the gear everytime :D unlike the hurst that kept going into whatever gear it wanted:(
