I don't know if there is any for our motors? Stockers are expensive enough as it is. With what you are doing, you should get a set of better Head Studs (not Mikey).

I can get a set custom made locally and yeah, they is expensive..:( ....somebody had told me Mopar makes a set but I cant find them....Justin gave me a company also but looks like they custom make them to order....

any idea if there are hp gains by lowering compression and increasing boost :dontknow:
at the end limit with both options there's detonation, no ?
and driving under real boost will only give a weaker engine....:dontknow:

The extra boost more than makes up for HP loss due to lower compression...you normally see factory boosted engines with 8.X CRs...

Cometic made a set for my 96 Ram that was supercharged, so I'm sure they can make you a set.

Bill.

Cometic only lists a .051" on a 4.060 bore size in their catalogue, part # C5814-051.

The stock gasket is .053" compressed.

They will make special gaskets to order, with the thickness you desire.

Cometic Technical assistance # 440-354-0777

Cometic list price is $125.16 ea on the .051"

The part # for the ARP head studs is 070-247-4201, through Jegs they are $322.00

Thanks Jack.....I did find out Mopar does make a thicker gasket...( .015 thicker than stock)...but dang the price..$325 for each gasket...:hmpf: ...I may just have to say TH with this project...:dontknow:

I bought an upper gasket kit from Justin that included the "Gold" head gaskets. I was told this would raise my compression by .5. Not sure how much just head gaskets are but I paid something like $270ish for the kit. Still cant tell you if they worked because I still havent found out why my motors not running (new pcm on order).
