If it's just scoping to clean it up, then it's a quick recovery. If you tore a ligament it takes quite a bit longer, but still not bad. Knee surgery is light years ahead of where it was 10 years ago. If you get cut on, just make sure you ice it several times/day. That will help prevent it from swelling up too much and making it stiff. This is what I do for a living BTW

Good advice! My wife used a cyrotherapy machine for a week...pumped cold water around the knee and compressed it...almost no swelling, but your insurance may not pay for it...it is still experimental.

yup today as i was leaving he said i need to do a phyisical on you again and check your prostate ,,i told him you just did that last year and other than my normal high blood preasure you said i was fine ,,,he told me ya but you are 50 now ,,,i told him that was bullshit cause you told me that when i turned 49 ,,then i told him if he wants to stick his finger in my ass he has to buy me dinner first he for some reason did not think that was funny

One of the reasons that my primary care physicians is an an attractive young woman...I want her to be intimately familiar with my prostrate...and I frequently ask her to check for hernia's too. At my age, any attention to that area of my body is greatly appreciated.

Well I had my knee scoped... I also had my femur replaced, hip replacement, Tibula replaced, and still looking forward to more surgeries. But my knee was good. Still fighting for uncle sam. They haven't put me out to pasture just yet. Even with all that I am probably at 85% and that's still better than most. You'll be good man.

Word of Advise, I walked around with a screwed up knee for 15 years, finally went and had it scoped. They took out 75% of the cartilage.

Three days after having it scoped, the doctor told me to go to the local high school and run the straight portions ONLY on the track. I tried, was pretty painful, but did it. Was out of work on a Thursday and Friday to have the procedure, back at work on Monday.

Three weeks after surgery, was playing full speed racquetball everyday for a minimum of two hours. Best thing I ever had done. My docotr was the ortho guy for the LA Raiders and took no BS from you. Made you get up and start using it. I haven't had any type of problem since then and the surgery was done back in 1992.

Get the damn thing fixed, and then forget it.

hahaha ,,this same doc once when i got pissed off at him and kind of went off on him said i need some anti depressents to control my anger ,,,thats when i had that hole in my leg and you gave me the nick name ironleg lol,
I told him my wife demands sex at 4 am in the morning after she went through the change and i dont want my dick to go limp and he said i can get you the blue pill lol ,,,talk about a contridiction in terms :argh:

I took one of those blue pills (100mg) once for a wild and raunchy weekend :rock:
Never had high blood pressure in my life til then,now it stays high
