Kobalt Tools 500

Sunday, March 8, 2009 | 2:00pm
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
Looking for an early season points advantage, NASCAR's elite drivers will take to the high banks of Atlanta Motor Speedway in the Kobalt Tools 500, the fourth race in the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup season. Eager to get the season started on the right foot, expect a heated competition on what is widely considered one of NASCAR's most competitive and challenging tracks. The Kobalt Tools 500 is an early season must see.
2008 Winner: Kyle Busch

Bone,

That's cool as hell.....congratulations.

BTW...How do you time it out correctly? Do you actually practice it, or calculate it, or can you hear the anthem in your headset and do it by the seat of your pants?

Do you volunteer, or are you chosen?

Is it a privilege, or a pain?

I will not be there, but am looking forward to seeing you on tv.

It would be more cool if it was in a Bone (B-1B)!

Either let the Nav do the timing or setup a timing leg with your Nav computer. You can hit it to the second. However, usually the communication on the ground is what causes the errors. They sometimes don't understand that you can't hover in space like a Helo.

Volunteer/choosen -- partially both. Nowadays, whoever is left (not deployed).

Usually a privilege.

Boeing 707-300....blazing speed.

May not be able to impress the crowd with sound and speed, but at least I can make everyone sterile in the stadium. :embarassed::help:

So why can't you hover like a helicopter and take in the race (birds eye view)?:D

But seriously, that's cool Bone. Hope you have a great flight.

Saw a fly over at Arlington-Tomb of the Unknowns. Don't know what caused it but everything got blurry for awhile.

They probably turned on the Flux Capacitor in the back to 1.21 gigawatts. It can be disorienting.

Looks like I am doing the American Commercial Lines 200 now on Sat (tomorrow).
With photo finishes, high speeds and fender-crunching action, the American Commercial Lines 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race makes for some of the most exciting action in NASCAR. One hundred thirty-five laps of grueling truck racing make this a can't miss preface to Sunday's Sprint Cup event.
TOT will be 14:05:30 pm local, unless someone screws up the schedule.

I will however be at the Kobalt 500 on Sunday if someone is going to be there. Got some pit passes.
