June 6-7 me and A Buddy of mine "Wade" Are planing on makeing a trip down there to run at the race track in baytown Houston raceway or something like that..anyway
#1 we are looking for a good hotel to stay at "we have no clue whats down there"
#2 i'm trying to get the SRT-10 guys to make a good showing and meet some of you crazy old guys;)

there will be a few SRT-8 jeeps a SS trailblazers to beat up on..... i believe the 7th in a sunday and that the day were going to race we are going to come into town sat after noon to have a good time sat night:D so Whos in an wheres a good place to stay!

track is in baytown actually so any bedbug dive near by will work ,there is a bunch ,,that track gets real full on a saturday night ,,,and traffic is a bitch right there ,freeway widening going on ,so plan on extra time to get there ,,i might be able to make saturday night ,,

PM OSO he knows all the poop on that track ,,,good track ,,i dont like the tree they use ,seems small ,,but the rest rocks:rock:

Racing is on Sunday as there is an O'Reilys Speedway Series on Saturday night. I was want to stay somewhere nice and actually considered going to Kemah the day before and staying at the boardwalk??

There are a few places to stay close to the track but i can never sleep well when i have stayed, to worried about the truck. I would stay in kemah and make the drive I belive the parking garage at kehma is patrolled and the police station is only a block away.

Bad timing. I'm leaving the country Thursday and will return June 28th. :dontknow: Oh well.

That was one of the reasons why I want to stay there plus we can just walk out the backdoor and have all the fun right there. Hopefully we will just bring the Jeep and be able to drive back Sunday night taking turns probably about a 4 hour drive I think we can do it:dontknow:

I guess it's about a 30 min drive to the track from Kemah?

Dont see why not. I would think one hell of a meet could be put together by that date also. What time sat was every one thinking about arriving?

not 100% sure yet what time we will be leaving but im not sure if i am going to bring the truck down yet.. i'm sure wade will post up some more details! i'd like to get somthing together!

Its been a while since Ive been there, but a few years back the Holiday Inn on the feeder road at the intersection for Beltway 8 and I-10 was a nice place to stay. Puts you about 10 minutes driving time away from the track. But like I said, it's been a few years.

JUST SO THERE IS NO CONFUSION RACING IS ON SUNDAY!!!

Kemah check in would be at 4pm so I will be there by 3:55-LOL for what they charge per night I'm using every minute anyone else wants to stay it makes it cheaper I can book a room with 2 king beds that runs 300.00 a night, regardless I'm about 95% sure staying there we may end up crashing at a cheaper place Sunday after the races depends on how tired we are.

I've never been to Kemah but from their site looks like we will never leave the hotel area all the fun is right there

SUNDAY 2-8, racing starts at 3pm. Booking room today anoyone that wants to make it to Kemah and hang with us Saturday night please fell free.
