Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the stock audio system? The infinity sub I have is blown, and I'm considering just dropping a JL audio 10w3v2 or 10w6 in the box, but I cant find any specs on the amplifier tolerances or the mounting depth of the box. I can check the box myself, but I need to know if that amp is able to handle a dual voicecoile speaker 6 ohms stable or not. I do have another amp I can install instead, however I'd like to be able to use the connections from that amp for my new amp, which will probably require a harness of some sort to convert to rca jacks. Anyone have any recommendations or related info to share?

Nice. Thanks for the info 5 0. I'm gonna go pull it out and take a closer look at it. If anyone has anything else that may help, please keep em coming. I'll pass on what I learn as well.

from what some of the other members have done the only mod needed is to cut some of the plastic out of the bottom that hold the (factory) woofer in place.

Would seem that even with the plastic cut out the mounting depth on the JL audio is too great. Guess its back to the drawing board to build a new box. Anyone know if there is a wiring harness or adapter specifically for the amp connections for an aftermarket amp, or will I need to splice and dice?

Arimis can I make a suggestion? Are you willing to get a different sub? There are some excellent (fairly inexpensive) choices that seem to work well!

To answer your question there is an adapter. It is made by Axxess (actually Metra) and its part number is CHRY-AMP-01. Says it only works with 2006 but I have used them for 05's I think:dontknow:

Which subs would you recommend? Only reason I'm pressed to use some of these subs up is because i have 4 of them, and they are borderline outdated. I have plenty of amps to go around, as well. Thanks btw for the harness info!

Power Acoustic STW-10 (Shallow Mount Dual 4 ohm)
Pioneer Premier TS-SW1241D (Shallow Dual)

And my favorite (quality bass without distortion)
MB Quart RSH254 (Shallow Mount Dual 4)

That is SOOOO True. I priced it out, thinking about replacing the infinity. A great system, I am just very attached to the Left one, the Right one I may have gone for but the Left is my favorite.... :)
