Back From Northern Illinois . . .

I got a few hours ago from our Christmas "get-away". My GF and I and her sister and brother-in-law went to northern Illinois for christmas. That is the most LONG, BORING, FLAT state ever. Its no wonder my GF constantly wants to go out and do shit, cause its boring as fuck there! It was cool to finally get to see some of her "culture". I thought she was shittin me when she said some of the roads aren't paved yet. Anyways, all that to say, I had fun, its definately a neat place to visit. I was happy to spend some time with her folks, but damn it is good to be back in Tennesee. Give me the mountains and lakes and rivers anyday. Those corn/soy fields everywhere take a toll on me.

I'm not going to argue with you there! The wonderful alert strip saved my ass Friday night, Saturday morning on the trek in. I had been up for over 24 hours by then, and had been driving 11 hours in dense fog. Last I remember was it all blurring together then the LOUD noise the tires made going across the alert strip!

Flat indeed though, MANY places to open the truck up, too bad I wasn't driving it!

Been up 65 From Louisville to Indy, thats as deep into Indiana I've been. Same "scene" though. I think I seen more Amish people in Indiana.
