VENOMOUS1 said:It did work!! I put the matching ECM I was sent on the truck and returned to stock, then proceeded to install my factory ECM and flash the stage 2 to it. Tuning Successfull!! There are indeed 3 Vin slots and it tells you how many are left. There are 3 tunes stored as well. Thanks guys for your help as I was starting to get frustrated as hell. Now I understand what's happening to these guys buying SCT that haven't been returned to stock and are rendered useless. Good thing I asked for the SCT and ECM together thinking they would work together or I'b stuck with a useless SCT like others.![]()
Why did you buy a seperate PCM with you SCT tuner? The purpose of the SCT is to flash the stock PCM with different tunes and then store the original factory tune in the handheld SCT unit. Can you get you money back for the other PCM? It is otherwise useless to you unless your VIN is programmed into the second PCM.
Even though the SCT can hold different VIN's only one can be programmed at a given time. If I remember correctly.
