Baffled in Pasadena. Truck won't start.

Checked neutral position switch, start pushbutton, optima redtop is good and charged. When i hit the start button nothing happens. No codes. WTF!!!

Do you get power when you turn the key?

Battery---- push button------relay--------clutch switch (RC)/ park neutral switch (QC)-------starter

Do you know if you hear that relay click when the button is pressed?

Yup we need to know RC/ QC. Shift linkage can get out of alignment on auto. Try starting in neutral.
RC you can bypass by putting a jumper wire in between contacts on plug by neutral safety switch at top of clutch pedal.
Jump with same size wire. :rock:
Tap on starter if the above doesn't work.

man you guys are cool can't believe all the help. If the starter is bad truck will not even try to fire? Single cab manual tranny.

Starter relay? Think the a/c relay is the same, could just swap them around real quick

going out to check starter voltage. Swapped starter relay earlier.

Jumper safety switch at plug and likely you'll be running.

added jumper to clutch safety switch. still no startup. for the past month the truck has had voltage drop on gauge while driving and then it would come back up to normal. When it wouldnt start, jumper cables always worked. replaced the altenator and the battery is fully charged. but now it wont turn over at all. very strange scenario, im thinking of buying a new starter and waiting for it to come in and replacing that. since i swapped the ASD relay. Jumpered the safety switch i just have not tested voltage at the starter yet.
