I love the fact that SPEED TV is covering the whole week this year. Lots of great cars going for reasonable money the last couple days. :) Watching the Friday and Saturday "wales" going for $Millions is cool and all.... But, I have enjoyed watching some of the lower money stuff as well.

Watching a nice 426 Hemi Challanger "Tribute" car right now.... Currently at $57k... Nice ride for that money. :)

thanks for the heads up. hopefully we can get some live pics Friday!

I went today. Not too many high dollar cars like past years. I think sellers are afraid of the economy this year causing their cars to sell for too little. I predict this will be a bad sales year for the auction. Sellers are nervous and buyers are hoping for some steals.

Not so sure.... We will see what they do on Friday/Saturday nights... You know, the rich are STILL rich. ;)

Very true. The rich are just getting richer. Still, it is big stock growth and real estate deals that spur big money toy purchases in many cases and the stock market and real estate market are both lagging. We will see. Recent auctions elsewhere have shown that cars are not bringing big money like they were last year. I am 100% sure we won't see a record breaking sales year for Barret Jackson but how poor the sales will be is yet to be seen.

I agree... Just one correction...

RESIDENTIAL Real Estate isn't doing very well.... Commercial on the other hand, is VERY strong (at least here in FL). ;)

Last year was the time of the $5 Million Shelby Cobra. :dontknow:  I doubt we will EVER see that again.

I love the 928's as well. I just can't stomach the maintenance and repair costs on those cars. I saw the production Challenger as well as the concept car. I think they look great but they just look too big. The new Mustang Shelby KR looked bad ass. I have always loved Corvette Stingrays too and there were a few super nice examples.

For the most part, the rich get richer by doing what they did to get rich.
Spend less than they make, save and invest...;)

He is richest who lives below his means...Ben Franklin!

WOW.... Nice WHITE :)o ) '58 Corvette....

$77K ......... It makes me happy that vintage Vette's always keep their money. :) ;)

Anyone else watching again tonight? Anything surprise you yet? :dontknow: :)

Anyone else notice the red and ORANGE '09 Challengers sitting in the show tent..... I wonder how much they're going to fetch this weekend... :D
