Anyone else notice the red and ORANGE '09 Challengers sitting in the show tent..... I wonder how much they're going to fetch this weekend... :D

I agree... Just one correction...

RESIDENTIAL Real Estate isn't doing very well.... Commercial on the other hand, is VERY strong (at least here in FL). ;)

I prefer a mix of both. No matter how low the interest rates, there is always someone looking to rent. But it does have a lot to do with the quality, cost and location.

I love the 1st of the month...

I think they said the Shelby coupe was a recreation. It would have been millions if it was original.

That Daytona was a recreation. Still sold cheap. There are lots of vehicles selling for much lower than they would have last year. Then again, some stuff is going for more than it should which leads me to conclude that those shopping with their emotions are paying big as always and the investor buyers are getting good deals.

i was noticing that too. this would be a good year to pick up a few and hold for a few years. not quite the frenzy like the last few years.

'96 Viper GTS Blue/White on RIGHT NOW!! Beautiful 8,000 mile car...

SOLD $50,000!!

Not bad I guess for this auction.

Yep. Sorry for the confusion... "Factory Five" is a replica builder. :) I think Silverback's 427 Cobra is a F5 car.

Damn kid. I may just dis-own you for that one.;) :p

Factory Fives are Kit Cars. You buy the components and build it your self, or have it built by someone else.

I have a Superformance. http://www.superformance.com/ It's a Replica, built in a factory and is shipped to the US as a complete car minus the engine and transmission, just like the original Cobra's were.

The thing about any Kit Car is the quality of it depends on the person who built it. I personally would be leary of buying a car built by anyone I did not know. Did they take short cuts to save money? Did they use grade 2 bolts in place of grade 5 or 8? You never know, and I would hate to find out at 100+ MPH as you are going through the lights at the end of the 1/4.

Well, I guess I will forgive you now. Just don't let it happen again.;) :D

Sold for $1M...

Should be quite a car.... ($900,000 went to the United Way on that one, actually.... ;) ) That car, the one that he actually bought, the serial number ending in 0001, will be a HUGE money maker in about 10-15 years.... mark my words...

I am extremely UNimpressed with the way the auction was managed this year. It's a NO RESERVE AUCTION. :dontknow:  Craig Jackson was almost scolding those people (you know, the ones spending MILLIONS!) .... The folks KNOW what they are buying.... There is no need to TELL them they are getting a good deal.
