Beat Intake Cooling Method

What are some of the best methods to cool your intake manifold between runs? Thanks.

For real? They don't make an aftermarket device like a plastic mild or bladder for that?

Would an intercooler or methanol injection kit help much? What about a change in thermostat?

Intercooler needs the air forced through it(turbo or blower),meth injection would help and a 170 t-stat would help too,and a CAI helps a little bit also.

I had a similiar set up on my SRT8 Charger but used the stock fans...would lower engine coolant temps 50+ degrees in 20 minutes...............but Michael was asking about cooling the intake....

I agree but the fan is more indirect and will not get the intake cold to the touch...but a good tool for getting heat soak out of the engine...

Won't dripping water get most people kicked off the track? Wouldn't that be a problem with the old ice and water technique?

If your gonna do ICE do it the smart way, do it with Dry ICE guess what no water.. and much colder than normal ICE and cheep to purchase.. Or go get your self a bottle of NO2 And spray that on and in your rad.. that will get ya cooled down.. OR even better Spray the NO2 in the intake when your going down the track lol.. faster times and ice cold intake at the end of the track..WIN WIN... even as small as a 50 shot will do the trick..

If I go NOX even a 50 shot don't I have to change plugs?

I use pellet sized DRY ICE in a couple of gallon sized freezer bags. I lay a towel on the intake to prevent the plastic bags from sticking to the hot intake. I also wait a minimum of 40 minutes between runs, but I like to space runs an hour apart.
