i have been busy as heck with work and trying to get the ss in good running shape. i have done a few things to help me out in the future. including a stronger tranny ( still not invincible but has some billet parts and a killer converter) i had to have a custom 8 rib pulley set up made since i was getting some bad belt slip with the stock 6 rib. also had some little appearance mods done.

here are the details

the blower was also rebuilt recently due to some oil problems. not to mention throught in a new steering shaft while i was all dirty. changing the pullies is easy if you have the right tools.

since i had all the brackets and stuff off i deceided to have the water pump and alt/blower bracket polished, and all the bolts chromed.

i was lucky the only 8 rib belt i had fit perfectly , the next closest sizes are almost 2 inches longer or shorter. and when i run the smaller blower pulley i just change out an idler with a bigger diameter to make up for the belt slack.( i actually thought this one through)

well here are the pics

Video update for Chase on his truck:

Famosa in Bakersfield is hosting a Test and Tune night this Friday June 20 2008 starting at 6pm. You should go Chase, I'm sure you will not only beat your 124mph trap speed, you will also set the world record for fastest Siverado SS truck in the world. The current record is at 11.2 to your 11.4 and bakersfield is at least 1/2 to 3/4 second faster track than Fontana's California Speedway.
