Slap a blower on that bad boy, knock 1/2 second off your 1/4mile time, and beat the record:rock:

I've heard this said many times, but I'm not sure I buy it entirely. The reason is: the Gen I and II Vipers came with flexible, ribbed intake tubing (like the trucks, only smaller) from the factory, except for ACRs which had rigid, smooth tubes and K&N filters. Those smooth tubes and filters were enough to certify the engine for 10 more horsepower and ft-lbs, and smooth tubes are commonly one of the first mods for owners now. When I look at a stock intake on a Ram SRT-10, I see a giant version of the stock intake tubes on a Gen II, with pleats and creases all over the place. Is there really nothing to be gained by smoothing the airflow through there?

Dont matter how smooth the tube is if the air flowing thru it is hot....the stock box will keep the temps 10-50 degrees cooler....click link below for some discussion about "CAI"....
