Best price for new tires ...

Just got a flat today before I had time to smoke by old rear tires Looking at the web the prices seems to have hit close to $300 for the Pirellis when they used to be around $200 at the end of 2006.

Has anyone recently bought tires or done the research.

I love New York :rock: this place has me felling creative again it has been a long time since I have felt like this .... Tried tirerack website $332??

When I bought tires in Oct 06 tirerack had them for $182 or something, looking at the site today it is $332. So I am a bit surprised. I'm based in Houston and just had them delivered to the door and locally fitted.

I am sticking with the Pirellis because I am only going to change two ... I actually have an old one with 5mm tread left, toying with the idea of mixing a new and old at the rear, will that really upset things if it is at the rear? With that said I guess I could also change brand for the set of two.
