As an international owner, my experience:
TIRERACK.COM - I heard of these guys a while ago but laid off commenting until I had a first hand experience of my own to share. I just purchased some new tyres for the SRT/10 late last month, did my research found the tyres and called to order. Firstly, the man you want is Porter, very helpful and a hard case, not a kiss arse type, just honest. Beats talking to the usual sulky dropkick. You can pay via Visa or wire transfer. They will contact your local bank and may have a 3 way phone convo with the TireRack lady and your bank to confirm it's yours. I did, all done in one day. They called me at around 7:45am this morning and it was sorted in 1 minute.
Anyhow, told him what I wanted, he confirmed and said he'd get back to me with some shipping quotes. 1 hour later an email showed up, a total price for the tyres which we had discussed already and 2 shipping options. FedEx (my fav) one for Priority = $1,016.66 US (1-3 days) and the other was Economy (3-5 days) at, get this, $368.68 for 4 x 305/45ZR22 tyres! Trust me, that's fantastic. Price for the tyres themselves was $147 each (RRP $300 US), total $588 US for the tyres and the order came to $956.68 US.
Total all up roughly for these tyres in NZD @ say, 76 to be safe and on the higher side = $1,258 NZD! One of these tyres in NZ cost around $800+. Anyhow, they stock great brands from BFGs to Hummer tyres. If you want to save money, do what tyre companies do and shop direct. I ordered them on the 23rd, got them on the (29th), that's 6 days from the US to my door via customs as well. I saved around $1,200 going direct.
