Looks pretty cool...what engine options are there or would you have a local shop put it together ??

Prefer:

http://www.confederate.com/confederate2/c2-links/home.html

but would bet that the chassis you are looking at probably handles better in the agressive twisties.

there is a Hellcat for sale 10 miles from me...the owner has over $75k in it...and will let it go for $50..... ....no way I spend that on something that can tip over....

The motor is a 100ci revtech...100+ at the wheel and 110trq....could get that up 20+hp with some work.....

the one in the pic is for sale....the owners bike....

For one thing the exhaust system will get you roasted in CA and the basic ergonomics of the motorcycle look like they suck hard. Personally I think it is fugly. Aftermarket engineers scare the hell out of me. Here today, gone tomorrow.

Stick with a factory name brand Buell, Busa, Yamaha, whatever. My personal pick would be a BMW they are not only fast but excruciatingly reliable and you can clip your samsonite luggage right on their lock racks. They are almost an investment, they really hold their value.

The biggest thing to remember is parts and service, where will you find them when these guys fold up and go away? I know you are into service, Dan and your checkbook being a full testimony, LOL :D ;) With a name brand you can drop it off and pick it up and it will probably have a warranty that works, unlike Dodge.

For going to the local sushi bar, that one might work :p :p :p Personally I would make a sacrifice out of it and run it off one of the cliffs in Malibu Canyon. YUCK.................. :D

My .03 and a million plus miles on two wheels..............

Howya doing Mike aka: jujitsu boy. Hope you are well and how is the Super Tank?? Is it up to 7000 pounds yet with the roll cage? :dontknow: ;) ;) :D

that mill+ miles means something.... ....the tank is getting lighter not heavier....:D ..the new axles shave 100lbs....and I am hopefull that the A-arms will materialize....

Uh, wouldnt take a revtech if it was free ;)

If you get to choose the motor, then there are far better options.

AMEN.............Pure Trash:2in1:

nowwhat I know ya want some thing different but.....
stay away from any harley road bike for performance, they rev low, bout 7000 rpms don't make hp handle like a turd because of the crank rotation and you will get passed by a guy on a drunksycle holding a boons farm wine bottle

you would be ten times happier to find a used aprillia tuno, have it customized frame up,have virtuallly no money in it,twice the handling and power plus reliability

cool

its very obvious you like either old school or the naked bike look
why not just contact the confederate boys or oc bob or similar and have one built ?

Mike, Stay away from ridgid frames, I got rid of my last one in 1973 after Pissing Blood all the way home from Frisco, Been on swingarm's ever since. The springer front ends only have about 2" of travel to top it off
