Blackviper Engine Build

Looking great! I would mount the accusump somewhere out of sight. ZCx's idea of a frame mount sounds good. I assume you are tring to keep it away from road debris?

always make a nice diamond plate debris shield for it:rock:

The issue I have placing the Accusump there is that I feel it crowds the engine compartment a bit. On the other hand, it needs to be kept away from debris and as close to the engine as possible. Mounting it on the frame is an option but not one I'm inclined to do. I'm open to more suggestions.

Larry, I'm not trying to break any records.:burnout: I just want to get a few good runs and the rest of it is an attempt to reresent the SRT-10 the way I envisioned it.

George, if you have not already done this it may provide a solution to the accusump placement issue.

I just installed Justin's remote battery kit. Moves the battery out of the engine compartment and puts it where it should have been in the first place, to the rear of the right rear tire.

The mod opens up the driver side of the engine compartment, probably enough to locate the accusump reservoir.

Just a thought...a good weight distribution mod, that might provide a good spot to locate the oil container.

Thanks for the thought Prof but I have the reservoir for the heat exchanger/intercooler where the battery originally was. The battery has already been relocated with Justin's kit.

Just a thought for the accusump what about behind the front bumper under the rad support or more towards the engine, there is that black flat plastic piece that is bolted under the bumper(I can't remember what its called,LOL), that would keep all the road debris off of it and it would still be close to the engine??

that looks awsome! but i hope you have enough room to get a piece of pipe to line up with that to not disturb airflow.... goodluck with it! looks awsome!:D

also another thing i've noticed you want a gap around the tip " so the tip and plate are not touching" or you'll get some damn good bed rattle! and it'll look like a vibrater lol

No worries Stinker, the fuel tank is baffled inside.

Thanks Tooloe.

cool beans, I would hate to see ya have the same prob as oem, either three pumps or one single biggy will suck a tank dry in a heartbeat at times

its ok we got it all worked out lol you might try a piece of flex pip to reduce the Vib of the pipes

With that cell you have does it use the factory fill location? It looks like it does but kinda hard to tell. Then does it use a -8 or -10 fitting for the line? One other thing, what manufacture or part number is the NOS bottle mount?

Yes, the fuel cell uses the factory fill. It uses a 8 feed line which is really determined by the factory hanger and whoever you have modify it. The return line is a 6 and the manufacturer of the bracket is either UPR or Aerosapce.

Thanks for the info. Who built the cell and does it come with the mounting brackets and skid plate that you have?

I need to call the fabricator before I release his information. He needs to make some changes to the setup to make the install a bit easier. It does come with the brackets and skid plate.
