A 500 cu top fuel motor take more hp to drive the supercharger than a stock 426 hemi produces. There will always be a HP loss of some kind. It might be from the belt of the blower, or from the extra exhaust back pressure of the turbo. For example the big T-72 turbo squeezes the exhaust down to under two inches as it enters the turbo, that's bound to cause a hp loss. The great thing is we can build our combo's to the hp levels we want, losses included.
 
Are you gonna road race or drag race the truck? Cant remember if you have a reg cab or quad cab but tranny upgrades are a must with the auto. Like others have said, too open end a question without specific goals or uses listed.

Top speed type of venture.... But with total streetability. Money not a factor here, as I am well equipped to fabricate.....

Then, you will want to go TURBO(s)... Especially with your prior knowledge. ;) :D
 
What do you guys think of the STS turbo if the tuning was good? Can the same tuning that the superchargers use be put on the turbo? Anyone in NY that can tune an STS?

It has DESTROYED MOTORS over 60% of the time. :idea:
 
So even if I use the same tuning the superchargers are using it will not work properly?
