Why go with a 12 rib belt over the cog belt?

Because cog set up is not friendly on the street especially with a stick. Plus no one has done it on our trucks so I guess cool factor also. Justin also said that setting up cog was a pita and difficult
I would always recommend the serpentine over the cog unless its max effort. The cog has to be lined up perfect, it can and has been done, but it just has very little room for error on setup. 8 rib is good to 800-850whp, 12 rib adds another ~100whp capability, cog would be 950-1000whp (all pump gas #s).

If its not too late you need to have the valve covers machined for ORB threads vs. pipe threads. ORB is much cleaner, I used black fittings rather than whats in the picture below.

Tyler how's it going bud? Thanks for the info there. Also having to send some brkts and stuff back to Justin so that he can make the 12rib pulleys work. Motor is out of truck at the moment waiting for clutch and new fuel system.

It's going great, just down in Arizona now. Banging through the desert on the old mans new RZR and going to Barrett Jackson among other things.

finished product. Don't ask how long it took because I have no idea. As I did it in several different steps and made lots of mistakes as this is the first thing I ever polished.
