Bob Cats are Way Cool!

Wow! Thats way better than that stand-up wheelie i just saw some kid do up RT.80 on his rice rocket lol.

Man, I could watch the wood splitter all day long...I know, "Get a life Prof!"

I have a Bobcat 843. Fantastic machine. I've just got the forklift attachment and a combination bucket (4 in 1). Now I need one of those wood splitter attachments. Thanks Roy. I don't even have a fireplace to burn the wood but that is definitely a cool tool.

We are putting an addition on our home and I had to remove the existing deck off the back of the house. Bob and I did it all by ourselves in one afternoon. What did we do before hydraulics?

Boy, do great minds think alike. I was just going to say that! That's entertainment. :) Lawn chair, cooler, umbrella, cigar, automatic Bobcat log splitter.............doesn't get better than that.

One of the comments says that splitter is 24k more than a good used machine. But bobcats are great I am going to buy one as soon as I can they come in very useful

Not many know that Roy graduated the university at a very young age.

And even back then he dreamed of some day building a special machine...

I'm not sure if the newer models are any better to work on than the older ones, but I'd suggest finding a a different make of machine, not a "BOBCAT". They are a pain in the ass to fix, talk about 10 gallons of shit stuffed into a 5 gallon bucket.

I don't know what you base that on. I've had mine for 6 years and have done nothing but basic maintenance. And it was used before I got it.

Based off of personal experience.. It's a personal preference thing, I think they are the hardest machine to work on, plus I don't like the belt drive. Most def my least fav brand of skid to do work too. Too much crap crammed in there (you ever had the cab tilted on it). Keep an eye on control valve seals, they can harden/crack & leak if the machine sits a lot.

Got to admit that is one kool way to load it back on the truck though !!! I'm with you Prof,I can watch grass grow and enjoy it !!!

Skids are the best to run a wheelie with.. just pop the bucket off, reverse a little bit and slam it forward. The counterweight keeps em from rolling over, can run on 2 wheels forever.
