What is the highest boost level that is being run on stock engines and forged ones?

I really do wish I had the particular amenaties to answer your question !!!Maybe some day when I grow up !!!:D

I also have a 10LB pulley on my Roe but I think there may be a Paxton or 2 here with 12+ pulleys....they may have went down though..:dontknow:

I know that some Paxtons might be spiking around 12 to 13 Lbs. boost.
I,m sure some Roes out there are about the same.

Need to keep ya boost under 10lbs on a sc'r , probably less than 8 on a turbo, they act differently, but unless you replaced the rods still dont push it, if a piston let go, more than likely it may have damaged the rod, hopefully you had the rod double checked, but the late 04 and on rods wwere barely good for 700 rear wheel.

Just didn't have to funds to do the rods so I'm trying to figure out what level to set the boost to. I think the Rods but I would have to ask Marty. What are the stock rods limits? Is it boost level or HP?

Stay with the std boost on both the Roe and paxton unless you build the bottom.....I have forged my bottom end before I installed the 10 LB pulley..

Man Flyn low I dont really know what to tell ya, but I would get a decent number and jsut stay there with a safe tune.

supposedly tho , and I heard this from UGR and other builders that the stock rods were only good for about 700hp, after that they have a tendency to bend.
So I would think since a turbo is a ton more efficient than a super charger that you should be able to make the same power a sc'r makes at 10 lbs with only 7 from a turbo.

Boost has an effect, it puts pressure on the piston and the rods, but the tech part, Iwill leave to silverback , or one of those fellas:D

I r2'd the #3 rod.

I believe 600rw with his forged piston and stock rods will live a long time. That will be 9 psi.
The last 2 650+ paxtons were logging 12 psi at 6000rpm. The STS will be at 9psi at 3000rpm, putting greater stress on the rods.

I'm running a solid 10 lbs on stock internals. Either I've been lucky so far or that is probably the max. My crankshaft horsepower should be somwhere around 720 if you take my STD numbers. I will be doing forged internals and ported heads soon. I don't want to continue to gamble. Once the build is done I will turn up the boost some more, maybe 12 or 14 lbs.

my roe is stock 5 lbs or so. it hits 8 on the guage at 6k rpm

George let me know when you have the smaller pulley machined...maybe we both can save money doing 2 at 1 time?..:dontknow:

I was really just looking to see what others are doing as far as boost level. I'm not looking for a monster numbers, just something that is fun to drive.

Yes, ex military term arrr-squared.
Trust me, 600 rear wheel with a turbo and the tq you get at low boost is an excellent combo for a heavy ram.
