What would cause your brake lights to blink off and on and then just stay on?I don't know if it's a short or a relay, every time that the lights would blink i would hear a clicking noise coming from under the fuse box, but couldn't see were exacly it was coming from.

Never happened to me in the 10 yet but in one of my ford work trucks there is a relay that was under the dash that controls the blink pattern...and it went bad.....just track where the noise is coming from and replace that relay...
took care of my problem

its probably the switch on the pedal, mine went bad also. it is mounted above the pedal arm for the brake, try to take it off and see if they still do it.

Is your truck on or off when it is doing this? My battery finally crapped out on me last month and that was one of the symptoms I had (as strange as it may sound).

no question first place I'd look is at the brake light switch at the pedal. btw...if it was a short then you'd blow a fuse or smoke some wires. Most common problem is an open not a short. Sorry....anal side of me coming out.
