The Friction Master set I got wasn't correctly made. They had to be modified to fit.
That's not exactly confidence-instilling.
(See also the 100+ posts here about filing/grinding the notches)

Next month: Centric from Zeckhausen all the way around. Slotted rotors & pads.
I'm done screwing around with false claims and inaccurate measurements.
Kevan, after seeing your posts in the DIY section, I look forward to your opinion on the Zeckhausen rotors and pads. A quick scan of their website shows they are serious brake people.

I'd love a straight answer with p/n's on whats the best way to go for a 05' QC??? TIA

Tony- The PF pads aren't correct either? They need to have their notches filed?

Sorry, but I'll pay a few extra bucks to know that they're correct out of the box and not have to file the notches. :)

NEGATIVE. The PF pads fit and perform perfectly. They DO NOT need notching. They do not require additional work.

About half of my 2000 posts on here are me saying this over and over and giving the part number. Just go get them. 0965-20 and 0702-20 :dontknow:

Cool, but pads are only half of the equasion.
Rotors are the other.

If your concern is excessive dust and irritating squeel the OEM rotors are not an issue. They work just fine with the PF pads.

If your priority is exceptional performance then stay with the OEM setup and deal with the dust/squeel.

If your goal is show quality cross drilled/slotted/dimpled high vis setup then you will need a whole new set up.

Stinker asked for help with PF pads. Just trying to answer his (and others') question. :dontknow:

thank you good sir:D

thats all I wanted is if anyone was interested in some performance friction pads to reduce the dust on our trucks.

I dont think but one person on this forum actually needs high performance rotors and pads and that would be Charles mmmmtrq, he does track days on a road coarse, the rest of us do it for looks and to reduce dust.

as soon as I found out anything i will post it up, It looks like they ran around $30-$35 or so, so hopefully this will be an inexpensive deal to keep down dust and still have better than stock performance

Stinkers pad replacement instructions here.....

All you need to remove is the center section of the calipers. (The 04's are 2 piece calipers). I believe all you need is a 1/2 wrench or socket, 2 bolts per caliper.;)

Well its a no go:( they got an entire new group down there, my buds gone, and they sey they dont sell individually to the public anymore.

so off to autozone website!:D

Yes, the performance friction pads are great. I ordered them from the autozone website. I recently installed them last week and they are different from the stock but I love them now and the dust are all gone! :)
