Before I moved to CO from VA I did a brake job on my 10, all new rotors and pads. Prior to the brake job I've had an intermittent red brake light indication on the dash.
The frequency of the red brake light was maybe once a week at best. Now the frequency is everyday. Now I have excessive travel in order to get the truck stopped. With the engine off the pedal is firm, per the Haynes Manual. Upon starting the peddle travel should go down slightly, mine goes damn near to the floor.
I had the brakes power bled last week, so fluid level is good. So I am thinking three items. Stuck piston, bad master cylinder or bad brake booster. There are no codes at all when the red brake light indication comes on.
I'd like to hear opinions, it's going to the shop tomorrow for diagnose & repair at the local brake shop.
