any thoughts???:bebored: :bebored:

I think we need to reassess our policy toward Cuba. There is huge human need there and incredible business opportunity...so both the republicans and the democrats should be interested in adjusting our relationship.

Wow...I bet you cant wait to go back and visit after that lil Bay of Pigs fiasco Roy!;):D:D:D

BTW...I believe a Democrat screwed that away. Even though I would have voted for that guy.

Maybe we can get some of those baseball players.:D They can also use some new cars over there!

Lived on the base (Guantanamo Bay) during my high school years. The bad news is Raul is a nut... The good news is that he is 70 years old and may not be able to run the place long.

Like Mark said, the place is beautiful with amazing fishing, scuba diving, outdoor living activities. Just got to watch out for the worlds largest active minefield :D

All it means to me is ....if they open the pearly gates to the good ol`e USofA,I will have to find a new state to reside in.There will be no room left for an american to live here.

I think the best way to try to bring Cuba around is to slowly start to allow business to be done between the 2 countries. Our current stance does no good that I can see, and to be quite honest I don't understand it.

Is it really because they are communist? Then why do we do so much business with China, or even Vietnam for that matter? What is the real reason?

I know that many Cuban exiles are against us having any relations with Cuba, again, not sure that I understand that. I think that an open dialog would be the first step in creating change there.

Communication and commerce seem to open all doors.

While exiled Cubans may object...it is not solely a Cuban issue. It is much more a national issue with Cuba...While someone above is afraid of the overflow effect of open relations with Cuba, I as a property owner in the Florida Keys see it as a tremendous opportunity for both countries.
