burnout duration?

Here's how I do it. Drive around the water, then back in, then roll forward just out of the water. Set the LineLoc, then in 2nd gear drop the clutch, count 1001, 1002 ,release line lock and roll forward. John at M&H said the Drag Radials don't like a lot of heat. Lauch at 3500 RPM, with CalTracs and the QA1's set at 2 in the front and 7 in the rear and Voila...1.650 60 foot. Oh and by the way.. tire pressure was at 17.5 lbs.

Best launch that night 12 psi 1.68 60'
What was your 1/8th mile and 1/4 mile time...maybe you need to update the timeslip section data...where you show a 2.008 60'. 1.68 is really good!!!!!

OH? San Antonio? I was meaning to head over there one day soon..

It would be fun to have a gtg there, but the track prep is not great, its hit or miss. The last time I went my 60's were in the 2.3 range in the left lane on motor, and i had the 1.6, and 1.9 in the right lane on spray with a slipping clutch. That pass I missed third on, my 330 was good enough for a high 7.9ish 1/8 mile which would put me in the low 12's or high 11.99 range, needless to say I was heart broken when third was'nt there. Oh well, I almost have the truck together again and hopefully a 11 sec pass is in the near future.

what broke on your truck ?:dontknow:

Well the clutch started slipping, so I ordered the 6 puck upgrade, then figured I would do a hydraulics upgrade, and the mod bug spiraled out of control from there. Had the intake powdercoated, relocated the nitrous nozzles, replaced plugs and wires, bought new wheels and tires, gears, headers.....you know how it goes. And I work on my truck at a snails pace:slug: so its takin a while to get her put back together.

Im sorry I had to pull my time slips, my best was a 1.8137 with a 5.0511 330 ft. I promise I'm not full of shit I just forgot. That was with 12psi, a slipping clutch and a nasty burnout.

finally got my rims to mount the 390's!:D now i'm wondering if anyone has experimented with the duration of the burnouts and a good tire pressure to go with it?

Damn that is nasty

I ram the M&H with 25psi in them and ran 11.7. Did about 20sec burnout A LOT of smoke.
I think the pressure was too high cause off the line I still broke loose. 1.9 60'. When I get her back will lower the psi to 20 and see if she grips better. Any suggestions?
