Busted a modded Lightning yesterday

I had a blast last time i went. I missed it this year, but i did get your invitation. Sorry i missed it.

a 10 with DR or Slicks and mods - will beat or keep up with most l's


unless it mod'ed to no end - basic bolt on's sc , nos , builds , stroker ect ,,,,, it a drivers race
 
Well i'd love to try this guy in Ga. that started this thread. If he wants to play. I been running solid 7.8's at breakaway on street tires but i just got some MT DR's i'm dying to try out. I think i can pull a solid 7.5 in 1/8th. I need a new tune real bad. With tune i think i can pull 7.3.....remember, i'm 4 door 5500#

I dunno man. They are a lot easier to go fast in:eek: A Whipple L, making less HP than I am, will probably dust me from a dig.

Plus they are MUCH cheaper to mod. There's a vendor over on the L forum selling built short blocks for 4k:eek: There are tons of guys over there with aftermarket blowers on built motors. The majority of 10s are bolt on trucks.

i would love to see what a fully built SRT 10 does - and ur right there a dime a dozon - and CHEAP as hell to mod ....


maybe it diffrent down south - here, there not may lighting that are running low 11's high 10's

and 7's ???????? unheard of here - there is a jonny lighting that is running high 8's here with a full out race truck with TT's build that ran at ATCO Raceway here

Johnny's is not a street truck..it is full race, tube chassis. There are NO L's in the 7's.(that i know of) in 1/4 mile. 8's yes. There are tons of L's down south in the mid/low 11's. Many HD's in low 12's high 11's. HD's are a different kinda animal. 4 doors and 800# heavier to motivate.

He'll be in Panama first week of June at the GTG. And, we'll be at Holt too.:)

Well it looks like it's on. We can run in Breakaway or Holt..i got no issues with either. Bring it.

You do realize that it's a very basic bolt-on truck... right? He doesn't even have a tune (not putting down your truck Cody).

Your built with heads, cams, whipple... :dontknow: Won't be much of a race.

Yeah...not looking to embarrass anyone or be an ass. I just like racing. I'll race anyone. Win or lose, it's all in fun. :rock:
