Damnit! I cleared out some time to come down, rearranged some things me and the woman were doing this weekend. And now the kids have come down with some kind of crud. Must have caught it on the first day of school. As bad as I wanna see Jack, I don't want to be responsible for getting him sick while he's trying to recover.

I'm really bummed out about this. Jack is a great friend to me, and I feel shitty not being able to be there. But I know I'd feel even shittier if he got sick because of me. Do me a favor and give him a big hug from me, and let him know I'll be down to see him soon.
