California speedway street legal drag races january 13th

I was there on Saturday, not Sunday , sounds like the starting line was better on Sunday. And no headwind.

Good enough for a 1.701 60 ft on m&h drag radials!! And yes there was no headwind at all and we got 3 runs in. We would have gotten 4-5 if there werent so many crashes.

Trainman here.. and I was the ONLY one who showed up!!! I felt so lonely. Met a bunch of cool MoPar guys that had SRT-8 Chargers and 300C's. It was so cold and the starting line was terrible. Not to mention the headwind. I made two runs 13.23 @105.74 (2.23 60') and 13.09 @ 105.56 (2.09 60'). I was very pleased with the GenIV shifter, it worked flawlessly. All the Charger guys came over and said "Great Shifting" . Thanks Guys. The best time for the SRT-8's was 13.39 ( I think) and most of them were in the 13.70's.

Jerry,

Sounds like the track was bad. I saw you run in Bakersfield and you were in the mid 12's. With sub 2.0 60' ft times. Wern't you also off about 3-4 MPH ?

I am sorry you were so lonley there, we did kind of abandon you. I was planning to come up Sunday and the Fontana track website said Slicks only. I only have the Nitto DR's so I did not think they would let me run. I heard later that they let almost everything run.

did you see the GTO eat it on Saturday? :dontknow:

I was in the staging lanes when he crashed the GTO. so I didn't see the actual crash, but I saw the car and it was totaled, The front end and the whole drivers side was demolished. And yes Jack, I ran 109.22 at Famoso.
