California's Nearly Bankrupt. L.A. Times Cites Some Reasons.

Although immigration is not the only reason for it, it is a HUGE fiscal problem for Cali. Maybe it's time to quit being quite so PC, and looking at this issue pragmatically.

From the L. A. Times

1. 40% of all workers in L. A. County ( L. A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card.

2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.

4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal , whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

5. Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally

6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

9. 21 radio stations in L. A. are Spanish speaking.

10. In L. A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish. (There are 10.2 million people in L. A. County )

Also:

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare.

Over 70% of the United States' annual population growth (and over 90% of California , Florida , and New York ) results from immigration.

29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.


Folks, this is only one State.

We are a bunch of fools for letting this continue.

And you wonder why Nancy Pelosi wants them to become voters...

Even if the numbers are skewed, there is no denying the burden illegals are on the system. When I was in college I did a large paper and presentation on this subject. At that time the average illegal cost the system $25k in their lifetime more than they put into it. Multiply that by millions and millions.

Legalizing weed would be a HUGE financial boon to the California economy. On many levels.

It would generate huge taxe revenues.

We could let all the marijuana offenders out of jail thus removing all the costs associated with their incarceration.

Everyone who smokes dope would consider moving back to California, thus improving the finanacial status housing/ real estate markets...

Hell, even Mikey would probably move back here...... if that's a good thing. :dontknow:

The biggest problem is the gov is doing nothing about it, anywhere. not just california, but many states border mex. and tons of other countries people have their hand in the till, the foreign peoples are not the problem, it is no regulation that is the problem. ..............:dontknow: alot of things should be different in the U.S.A.

What I am in favor is immigration reform, that doesnt mean I want everybody granted a fukn green light. It is sheer ignorant and next to impossible to say your gonna kick em all out. However even as "illegals" they dont escape taxes. If I was in charge, I would devise a plan to give them some sort of citizenship with out the full privilages of an american after they pass full background check, drug test, and some kind of proof that they have been productive since they been in the nation. Then if they would qualify, bring em onboard to tax the shit out of em like you and me. but i'm no fukn senator and all I know how to do is rebuild big block chevys
