I called Paxton today...as I am want to do from time to time to check out my old pal Lance Keck and to see if Mike Regan had any update on a forthcoming CARB number for our NOVI blowers yet................

In short....... They do NOT......

Here's a runaround for ya:

I asked for Mike Regan...He wasn't there....

I ask for Lance.......... He doesn't know.

He refers me to a guy named Jaime Robago.......... He's not sure, so he puts me on hold for 10 minutes while he checks...... He still doesn't know..... So he walks back to the engineering dept...(which I just called) to speak to the head of the engineering group..... He was STILL unable to provide an answer, but sez that they probably don't have one yet....

I asked him if they had ever failed to obtain a CARB number for one of their blowers.... He sez "No"......

Does anyone have a better inside contact at Paxton...? Preferably someone WITH their finger directly ON this situation.....:dontknow:

Will ask Dan at DC....:dontknow:

I asked Dan at DC about it yesterday. He seemed a bit in the dark about it as well. He said that they have not recieved an EO for any of the gen3 systems. No EO since 2002 gen2 system. I emailed Paxton today asking them why it is taking so long.

This is what ya' call a "Jug F*ck"...........

The hotter rodders "shell game" or the "Where's Waldo of wacing".............

Thanks, You Wabbits............................(huhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuh)

I've been going through smog with a 60-1 mounted to the front of my engine for 4 years, and nobody has said anything yet!

*knocks on wood*

This is good news for some law breakers here in California.
The new law about not being exempt after 30 years sucks though.

Did anyone get new info on the paxton EO?

I feel sorry for you Kali guys. where i live, i don't even think twice about running around with silly shit like 5% tint, open headers, and no tags.

have you checked with ATI to see if their stuff is CARB legal?

I got the same answer a year ago when I had my Paxton. They said they have never been denied one (CARB number), but I got no answer that was direct.

Its funny that the "07 mustang kits are already issued a CARB number.:dontknow: Its all about the money I think.Ther are so MANY Mustangs running around that it pays for Paxton to stay on top of it.
Just my.02.:D

So if Paxton doesnt get a "Carb" number does that mean your blowers are illegal in CA?

patrick

Yeppers! That is the drawback of Cali.

Every damn mod has to have an E.O number. You can usually get away with a CAI, but thats about it without the CARB number.:(

Basically if they can see it...It better have a CARB number.....

That is, unless you go to Abdul, Jorge, Big Al or one of the other more "friendly" test stations........
