Let me call caltracs for ya, and see what I can find out, but dude, I am on the road it might be a few hours before I get back with ya;)

Ok jsut talked to caltracs , that plate replaces the oem plate on "top " of the spring pack.

You should also have a set of square u bolts, you discard the oem ubolts, and flip the new ubolts to fit the opposite direction of the oem set up, in other words, the square u bolts will go in fromthe top, this bar will go between the u bolts and the spring pack.

then mount the lower part , tighten .:D

Now thats service:p

Stinker thanks for the FAST reply

I had the same problem with my install, the directions are very vague. You'll love how the truck hooks with them.

I thought it might be a spacer plate but wasnt sure. Stinker rules!!!

Instructions were very vague. I got help from several folks here myself as well. I do remember the first side took forever to figure out and install. The other side went on real quick.

You might hear some clunking when going over speedbumps etc...... dont worry its just your axle falling off!!! LOL JK

Nah, its just the nature of the caltracs.......they clunk!
