Hey guys.
I'm thinking about selling my SRT10. Not because I don't like it but because it's not very practical as my daily driver.
I'm buying an 07-08 SRT8 Jeep to replace it as a DD.

I have another option though which would be to mod it. I already have a very modded 5th gen camaro sitting at 6xx rwhp. It's getting double boost next week to hit 7xx rwhp and a 150 shot to try to break 1000rwhp.... In other words, won't really be a street car:dontknow:

I need something to mess with people on the street, and I know the SRT8 would be great but as it is going to be my DD I don't want to mod it yet.

So I was thinking about building up my ram. Realistically how safe is it to go with a bolt on head cam build? Do I need to touch internals (want to stay away from internals because I Already have tons of money in my camaro). How much would a good build cost and how quick could I expect the truck to be? I do have water meth and nitrous at the shop that has yet to be installed. Would a bolt on cam/head build with a 50 shot and meth be safe? Or should I stay away from the nitrous?

Thanks in advance. Really been trying to read up on these trucks but since so few people have it, it's hard to get info. Also mine is the only one in my country so no one knows a thing about it.

Keep your SRT10!! A nice cam and heads or headwork and a 50-100 shot would be perfect for you. Make sure you get a Nitrous tune that retards spark timing a few degrees as well!!

Nope, nothing to worry about. A H/C and small shot setup is just as reliable as OEM.

You can plan to spend $5000+ depending on how far you go.
Always look to our vendors for support. JMB has the worlds fastest SRT-10, JTSVP has many builds and parts support as well as us Southern crew having some of the fastest NA trucks. Everyone here will steer you right bro. You have to have a goal in mind and budget towards that goal.

Good, cause I know I will be in the 10's with my heads and cam install....on the stock block. But remember you still have to shift...or are you going automatic in the RC?
