I am just looking for suggestions on what cam's and rockers rollers that I need to get to change out. Any advice I would apprecaite it.

To get the full benefit of a cam swap you need to finish it off with a good tune. Depending on which tuner is nearest you, I would talk to them first, as they can give you a better idea of the right cam.

Cam selection should be based on your complimenting mods, your goals and your budget. You can just throw a 708 cam or comp cams vipertruck grind in there with no tune but you'll only pick up a few hp that way.

Sorry to be so vague but you really need to discuss this with a tuner. Good luck.

I would go with what tim (vipertruck2933) is telling you;) He has a very nice build:rock: I used the comp cams viper truck grind and I have a nice sounding idle but probaly only picked up around 10-15rwhp and that is with joe at ppj tuning it. So do some research call joe and have him point you in the direction you need to go before you buy something;)

Match it to your current mods. That said a 708 cam still idles well and performs well all around. I just put Crower roller rockers in my build, no real experience since its not finished but they are smooth and quiet at idle as compared to the stockers. You will need taller valve covers to clear them, either Boomer's billet ones or he also makes spacers.

Joe

Also on the rockers....we already have 1.7s and the rollers are 1.7s. So you won't pick up any power from them. They'll just be more reliable with the higher lift cam (and quieter, as Scrambler1 said).

The factory cam seems very closely matched to the flow of the stock Viper heads. That is why the same Mopar performance cam will gain only 10 or so wheel horsepower with the stock heads and 30 with good flowing heads. The factory heads limit the cams ability to work as it could.
