Cam suggestions or vendors

Can i get away with a cam and rocker set-up with the stock heads? i have searched previous posts and havent found what works best so any suggestions to point me the right direction would be great?

I think the factory cam isn't 1/2 bad and at least approaches the limits of the stock heads as there doesn't seem to be big gains in changing it. I am looking at a cam now that provides TWICE the power increase with a better head than the exact same cam with stock heads.

Be careful changing cam profiles. With too radical a choice our power sucking automatics and the weight of our vehicles will make them miserable to drive.

A cam swap in our engines' case is much better combined with head mods or a head change. I.M.H.O.

good to know- i think i will stay put on the cam idea for now untill i am ready for heads- thanks

I gained 25rwhp with a cam that works with the stock valve train.....Although it took me at least a dozen dyno runs doing my own tuning with a VEC3. If you dont have a VEC then I would recommend spending $ elsewhere.

Additionally, the cam swap was after I ported the heads.....Sooo, cant say you would get similar gains on stock heads.
