CAMSHAFT HELP!

sounds Great! goodness now i'v just got to make a few phone calls.. and i wish i could have a cam made to spec but not really sure how to go about doing that

Give your performance-plan to your cam grinder with emphasis on which heads you are using or what has been done to your existing heads...flow info if you can provide it.
 
ahh i see so i would pretty much tell them it's the stock heads that have been ported and polished and the compressions been bumped up

You've got it; those are 2 important things. For example- No point in choosing a cam that has .700 lift if your heads stop flowing at .550", etc, etc.

Most companies have a questionnaire they use to help them choose the best cam for your application. The more informed they are, the better the choice they can make for you.
