any recomdation's on a cam for our truck's ?

i was looking at the

Mopar Performance Dodge Ram SRT10 Viper Competition Camshaft

that cam is only good for 7 to 10 hp ,,

Talk to Justin and see if he can get you a cam from Joe. I have it and really like the idle and sound.

i can only tell what i have done ,,,

i went with the hr 270 cam from compition cam ,manley hardened pushrods,,and had bpe duel springs installed ,,had stock heads ported and polished,,started out with stock rocker arms ,,also opened up intake maniold ports to more match gasket to head ,,i went in as far as i could ,,,hard to get all the way up there ,,honing was an option but price for honing wasnt!

first dyno out the box was 496 ,498 ,501 hp ---525,540,546tq,,

after normal driving around it still ran strong as hell but i noticed it getting fat on WOT,,endded up comp sold me a cam setup to use different rocker ratio ,so i begged stinker to get me a set of custom made Harland roller rockers,just got them in yesterday afternoon ,,im smoking now,, nice idle ,,i need to dyno it next week but it should be a tad over 500 at rear wheels

just getting a cam and slapping it in will not give you much but a headach,,best wait till stinker gets home and call him tell him what you want ,,you will be happier in the long run ,,Im all Grins now ,,,prob i got now is i hit the rev limiter so fast i dont shift fast enough ,,,

i was looking at the

As mentioned, a small gain just installing a cam because the stock cam is already matched well to the stock heads.

If you do some proper head work or go with aftermarket heads, you can choose a cam that may add 40 or 50 H.P. or so to the combination..

I'm not sure what you are after here...??...If you get the compression up closer to where it should be, you can choose a more aggressive profile without sacrificing much low-end torque.

These trucks are heavy so choose your mods wisely..

Stinker,... What would be the best Cam for my truck,..... the mopar comp cam just aint doing it fro me,....
