OR
To keep the old lady quiet...while keeping her fluids in at the same time?:dontknow:

OK is it interior plastic, or exterior plastic, maybe engine bay plastic............:dontknow:

I'm thinking end caps for the stripper pole you put in the bed of the truck.

Close enough Guys ......... They are For W.W.Fluid container, Rad,Overflow Res., and Brake Fluid Res.

All those ugle white plastic containers with yellow covers. Pulling them all and Painting gloss black with the brass covers. Should give a new look to the eng. compartment.

I'll post up pics tomorrow when done.

Thanks for playing along ......... Jim

I went out to my truck and I figured it was to cover the yellow plastic, the gloss black and brass will be BITCHIN:burnout: :D :burnout:

Well I got the Rad. overflow Res. Done and The Wind. Washer Res. Done, still have to do the Brake Res.. Need a calm day for that, kinda windy today.

I think it cleans up the inside not to see the white and yellow, and the Brass adds a little bling through the clear-coat. Here's a couple pics and dimensions for yourselves if you would like.

I Put a 8/32 set screw on one side to snug up onto the containers, hardly need them, nice snug fit's anyways. Fun little project that cleans up the engine bay a little.

Will post up the brake Res. when done. Used original cap, sprayed black and set screwed the brass one onto it, works great.

Thanks for checkin these out .......... Jim

Well, It's done .... Finished it up today. Looks a lot better than Yellow caps and White plastic...... imo

Have the brass covers turned by a Trade school, Machinest, a friend with a lathe. Pickup some Good plastic spray paint, and Clear spray paint for metal, then masking tape, yesterdays newspaper, a little elbow grease and Done ....

Thanks for the interest ....

Jim

Maybe a dumb question, but how do you tell the fluid level when they are painted black?

It's not a dumb question, it is a very good question, and I considered taping off a 1/2" line up the back of the containers but decided against it. So I use a flashlight to check the fluids. Small price to pay for the cleanup.

Thanks ........ Jim
